In Canada, approximately 4,500 people die by suicide every yearβ¦ that is roughly 13 people every single day. That number increases and decreases year by year. But thatβs not just a number; that was a person, a life. And for every life lost, there are countless families, friends, and colleagues left behind in the wake of the silence. The 4500 Walk is our way of breaking that silence. We walk to remember those weβve lost, to support those who are struggling, and to ensure that no one has to navigate the darkness alone.
